This site is a tribute to Alan Greig who passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on Friday 19th March 2021, in his 95th year.

Loving and devoted soulmate, best pal and husband of his cherished Jessie,

Cherished uncle and father-figure to James, Linda, Stuart, Cameron and Bethany,

Lovingly reunited with his dear sisters Jean and Vi,

Dear uncle to Alana, John and the girls,

Much loved brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle to  all the family,

A good friend to many,

Alan was a very active man, a well known face in the area of Portobello. 

Was a keen bowler for years and was Entertainment Convener for the British Legion.

A Hearts fan but his favourite guilty pleasure was the horse racing, enjoyed a good banter with the staff along at William Hill.

However, his main love in life was Jessie and the family <3

Alan is much loved, will be sadly missed and remain in our hearts always. He will be fondly remembered.
